Membership Drive 2015!

Membership Drive 2015!

Posted January 21, 2015

The 2015 season has just begun and it is great to see our teams working their way through pre-season training. We are hoping for a successful year for all teams in the club.

As the new season starts, we are asking our members to pay their membership fees as early as possible. We use the funds generated from membership fees to continually improve and maintain our facilities and the day to day running of the many teams that the Club has in all codes from adult senior level right down to our little star players of the future in Club’s Nursery.

Before a football is kicked or a sliothar is pucked the Club has to pay the following costs:
- Registration Fees, Affiliation Fees and Players Insurance – €30,000
- Electricity and gas costs – €23,000
- Property and Liability Insurance – €22,000
- Coaching – €18,000
- Interest on the Club’s Long Term Loan and Overdraft Facility – €11,000

As you can see it all adds up so it would be great to collect the membership fees as early as possible to help ease the financial burden. Our aim is to continue to be one of the best clubs in the country with such great facilities and paying the fees early will help us achieive this aim.

Members can pay their 2015 membership using the Club’s online membership payment and registration system. We are encouraging as many of our members as possible to register and pay online again this year. Paying their membership online makes it much easier for our Registar Adrian Kavanagh to manage the administration work that is required and it also significantly reduces the security risks involved in relation to the handling of cash and cheques. The online payment and registration system is completely safe and secure and is used by over 700 Clubs across Ireland and the UK.

Early Bird Incentive – As was the case earlier on this year there is an early bird incentive for members who pay their 2015 membership in full before midnight on 31 January 2015. Such members will receive an extra €20 Credit on their Club Loyalty Card to spend in the Club Shop and Bar (i.e. a credit of €70 rather than the normal €50).

Further information on our membership options can be found here.

Best wishes for the New Year and best of luck to all in the 2015 season.

Many thanks for your support.
